The Millard Oakley Public Library will be closed on Friday, April 7th and Saturday, April 8th for the Easter Holiday.
There is a lot happening at your library. Story time is every Thursday at 10:30. This is open to children of all ages.
Our Crafters Club meets every Tuesday at 9:00 in our meeting room. Everyone is welcome to join others in the community as they bring their crafts for an hour of crafting and socializing.
The local Beekeepers will have a class on Saturday, April 15 for anyone interested in keeping bees. This class will begin at 9:00 a.m.
The Civic and Garden club will present another seminar on April 17th from 5-8 pm. This event is free and open to the public, and several speakers will be presenting.
The Friends of the Library will meet on Thursday, April 20. Please note that the meeting time has been changed to 4:30. All are welcome to come and join this great group of individuals who help support your library. They have recently been awarded a grant from UCEMC Cares to help expand our Library of Things. We hope to have new “Things” to offer soon!
The library will soon be adding a new service. We will be able to submit background checks as well as do photos for passports. Before this can be done, the staff needs to be trained. This training will be on Tuesday, April 25, and the library will be closed, so all staff can attend this training.
