Millard Oakley Public Library News
 November 22, 2024

The Friends of Millard Oakley Public Library have planned another book sale on December 6th & 7th. This is a great way to stock up on books for your home library as well as support the Friends of the Library group.
The Friends are a dedicated group of individuals who purchase books and supplies for the library, support programs, and assist in many ways. They are always looking for new members, and the group is open to all individuals.
The Friends are also planning an Open House for the Library on December 23.
Refreshments will begin at 11:00.
There will be an 8-foot stocking raffled off at 12:30.
Tickets will be just $1.00, which can be purchased between December 2 and the time of the drawing. All money raised will help pay for performers, such as Magician Bruce Amato, who will be here on December 23 at 1:00.

Other events coming to the library include a Work Force Development collaboration with MTSU on December 2nd from 9:00 until 1:00. Our Virtual Reality equipment will be demonstrated and available for use during this workshop.

The Crafters Club meets every Tuesday beginning at 9:00.
The Teen group will meet on Tuesday, November 26 at 4:00, and again on December 10 at 4:00.
Stop in to the library for a full calendar of events each month!

New titles added recently include:
Horror and Dark Fantasy Stories” by Kevin J. Anderson, “The Untitled Books” by C. J. Archer, “O Little Town of Bethlehem” by Elizabeth Boyle, “The Bog Wife” by Kay Chronister, “Swamp Spies: A Miss Fortune Mystery” by Jana Deleon, “The Incense Road” by Tracy Higley, “The Christmas Inn” by Pamela Kelley, “Sleep Tight” by J.
