The Millard Oakley Public Library would like to invite everyone to a Community Meeting on Thursday, May 1 at 5:00 p.m. This meeting is to be held in our meeting room to discuss the recent grant the library received from the American Library Association. This grant is to be used to improve access to the library. We want to know what you think. Bring your ideas to the library and help us help you!
The Friends of the Library will hold their spring book sale on May 9th and 10th.
Hard cover books on Friday are $1.00 each. Paperbacks are $0.50.
There are also DVD’s and books on CD’s that will be in the sale.
The bag sale will begin on Friday, at 3:30.
At this time, and on Saturday, books will be $1.00 per bag with a limit of 25 bags per family.
Upcoming events at the library include the Iris Show, which will be on May 3. Entries are from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., and public viewing is from 9:00 until 11:00.
Our crafters meet every Tuesday at 9:00, and Book Club will meet on May 6 at 11:00.
Story Time is every Thursday beginning at 10:30.
The Historical Society will hold a Genealogy Festival on Saturday, May 17.
