Millard Oakley Public Library News
June14, 2024

The Summer Reading program is full of adventures this year.
Ollie Otter came to visit this past week, and Farm Bureau will be here on Thursday, June 20.  Our young readers are also searching for businesses around town that are displaying the MOPL Bookworm.  If you see this sign displayed, please let the business know how much their support of our library is appreciated!

If you know anyone who would like to learn basic skills on the computer, the library will host a free class on Tuesday, June 18 beginning at 11:00.  Computers may be limited during this class.

The library, and all county offices, will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th.

The Friends of the Library will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, June 20, at 4:30.  This is a wonderful organization that helps support the library.  New members are always welcome to join!

The library computers will not be available Friday morning, June 21.
All software will be updated during this time.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

New books recently added to the library include:
“A Chain Across the Dawn” by Drew Williams, “Exile” by James Swallow, “Germania” by Harald Gilbers, “All Together Now” by Matthew Norman, “The Animals at Lockwood Manor” by Jane Healey, “The Ballerinas” by Rachel Kapelke-Dale, “ Blood Rains Down From the Sky” by Amy Cross, and “The Bullet That Missed” by Richard Osman.

“Once you learn to read, you will be forever free.”  Frederick Douglass.
